• 3:30 pm: Pick one. A coffee-estate walk (at Ashvana it is on site, with coffee tasting), or, in the monsoon, Manjehalli Falls beside the highway, 26 minutes from Ashvana. Watch the falls from the edge and stay out of the water.

Day 2 (Sunday): one long stop, then home

• 8:00 am: Breakfast and check out.
• 9:00 am: One stop, chosen by season. In any month, Bisle Ghat View Point, 57 minutes from Ashvana and greenest from July to September. From December to May only, Shettihalli Rosary Church (1 hour from Ashvana) and then the Hemavati backwaters. From July to October the church is under water, so skip it in those months.

• Kukke Subramanya Temple, 1 hr 15 min from Ashvana.
• The Jenukal Gudda day hike, which starts from the Bettada Bhairaveshwara Temple. Winter is the best time; in the monsoon the trail is slippery and has leeches.
• Both day-2 stops: Bisle Ghat View Point and, from December to May, Shettihalli Rosary Church.
